At a meeting with British Ambassador Melinda Simmons, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyridenko discussed issues of protection of global food security, economic recovery and humanitarian support to Ukraine.

“Today’s cooperation between our countries is of a complex strategic nature and covers a number of important areas,” said First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyridenko.

According to her, this includes protecting global food security by facilitating the transportation of Ukrainian grain to world markets, and assisting British companies in ensuring stable fuel supplies to Ukraine.

“We pay a lot of attention to Britain’s future participation in the recovery of the Ukrainian economy. In particular, they discussed its potential structural changes that will help our country cope with all the challenges of wartime, “said Svyridenko.

The official also added that during the meeting the parties discussed important aspects of humanitarian support, cooperation with the British Department for Export Credit Guarantee (UK Export Finance, UKEF) and further development of trade cooperation.
